Can an LMS be deployed in a restricted or air-gapped environment?
Some programs require private network or restricted egress. Treat this as a deployment class with explicit update and content ingest paths.
Air-gapped or highly restricted networks change update cadence, media delivery, and SaaS assumptions. Ask vendors to classify supported deployment models (public SaaS, private cloud, on-prem/restricted), how content packages enter the environment, and how security patches are applied. Not every LMS feature set survives offline constraints — document trade-offs early.
